mobileGov World Summit and Global mobileGov Awards 2017
7-9 May, 2017 - Brighton UK - www.m4life.org
————————————————————————
At the mobileGov World Summit 2017, we are working towards covering all
essential topics related to mobile public services and new trends. The
conference has now two more interesting panels. We are soliciting
panelists and speakers for the following topics from highly qualified
experts and practitioners in related domains.
One of these panels is specifically focussed on the recent IoT
developments and its contribution to the mobileGovernment field, with a
critical look to “intelligent systems”. This panel will be hosted by
Prof. Kushchu, whose expertise is on Evolutionary Artificial
Intelligence and Mobile Technologies.
The other panel will discuss the potential of citizen involvement in
creating local public mobile services and will be organized by Joan
Battle of Ajuntament de Barcelona. It shares valuable insights on how
the city of Barcelona achieved an advanced level of mobile government
development.
Experts from public and private sector who are willing to share their
ideas and experiences are welcome to participate to these panels. Please
see the short descriptions of the panels below and get in touch with us
at conf at m4life.org or visit www.m4life.org to show interest.
I would be grateful if you could forward this call to those who may be
interested to join and participate at the event.
PANEL DESCRIPTIONS
Limits of IoT Intelligence?
------------------------------------
The panel explores the relationship between IoT and Artificial
Intelligence and how intelligent could the IoT systems be. Basic
questions it raises are on the limits of current learning mechanisms in
AI that could help making sense of collected large amounts of data
through sensors and converting that ‘sense’ into intelligent actions.
Some of the topics to discuss include deep learning and resulting
performance in IoT systems. The panel will be critically evaluate the
expected performance from intelligence of IoT.
Mobile Apps Made by Citizens for Citizens: the role of the Local public
administrations?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While mobile technologies empower citizens to be more involved in
service provisions of government organisations, they also have better
knowledge of what is best for themselves. Such new movements create
opportunities and challenges for service provision process of local
administrations. while it is important that local public administrations
should transform themselves in offering better services, it is also fact
that citizens may contribute better in deciding and designing what is
bets for them.
This panel aims to open up discussion as such and raise several critical
questions, too. Could apps be a new means for the provision of services
of public interest made by citizens for citizens? What could the role of
Public Administrations and How PA can contribute?
