Dear colleagues and Prof. Saunders,
This topic and IS research current practice (on the need of publishing in
called top journals and comply with the impact factor new kingdom for
valuating research) is required. Just my 2 cents contribution and kind
petition on next reflection:

--- journal impact factor is rather usefulness and/or topic popularity
metric than a high-quality research metric, so we must elaborate other
specific instruments to measure the quality of research.

Thanks in advance for including it in the meeting!
Prof. Mora

PS. We shared a common invitation on this related problem at CAIS 38(1),
2016 issue. However, while I supported also Iivari's arguments, I reported
that they are insufficient from a core Systems Approach perspective.
Radical changes are still required for redesigning the current status quo
on IS top research. Critical example: all research on Data Centers and IT
Architectures is omitted at present, despite the relevance and legitimacy
to be studied in IS research streams.

Saunders, C. (2016). A Rejoinder to Iivari (2016). Communications of the
Association for Information Systems, 38(1), 15.

Quality of Peer Reviews? Three Suggestions for System-level Changes”.
