Posting Job Title:              Assistant/Associate Professor of
Information Systems

This is a nine-month, tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate
Professor of Information Systems.

 

Responsibilities for this position include: teaching courses at the
undergraduate and graduate level in Information Systems (e.g.,
programming, database, web development, etc.), research and scholarship in
the area of expertise, and professional service to the Department,
College, and University as required.

 

An earned doctorate in Information Systems or closely related area from an
AACSB accredited institution or the foreign equivalent is required.
Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the
minimum degree may be considered. Applicants with a record of research
accomplishment and/or good teaching experience will be given preference.
The KSU College of Business workload document allows teaching commitments
to range from 2-2 to 4-4 depending on the research profile and interests
of the candidate.

Michael J. Coles College of Business is fully accredited by
AACSB-International and the Information Systems program is ABET
accredited. A number of programs in the College are nationally ranked -
the BBA in Information Security and Assurance offered by the Information
Systems department is ranked third in the nation among online security
programs. The Department of Information Systems consists of 24 full-time
faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in Information Systems
and Information Security and Assurance, a graduate degree in Information
Systems (MSIS), Healthcare Management and Informatics (MSHMI), a dual
