*Position*



The Department of Information Systems at the College of Business of the
City University of Hong Kong invites applications for one or more
tenure-track position(s) at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate
Professor beginning in 2018/19 academic year starting September 2018.
Candidates must have received a doctorate in Information Systems or a
related area.



Candidates must also have a strong commitment to high-quality research and
excellent teaching in the Information Systems field. For appointments at
the Associate Professor level, a substantial track record of research
publications in top-tier journals is essential. For appointments at the
Assistant Professor level, strong indication of the ability to publish in
top tier journals is critical.



Successful candidates should have the ability to teach at both graduate
(MBA/MSc) and undergraduate (BBA) levels. *Candidates with teaching
experiences in Business Intelligence, Big Data, Data Analytics, Data
Visualization, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, and
IT/IS/Electronic Commerce Strategy are at distinct advantage. Ability to
teach other courses in Information Systems, such as Security and Privacy,
and Knowledge Management, are also welcome. Experience in administrative
work is a plus..* Successful candidate should demonstrate the capacity to
motivate students to appreciate the value of innovative information
management on businesses in the Internet era.
