The MIS division at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma (OU) (http://www.ou.edu/content/price/mis.html) has an opening for a tenure-track Associate Professor/Senior Assistant position in Healthcare Technologies, starting in the Fall of 2019.  The division has thriving MIS programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level. It houses the Center for MIS Studies, a long-standing partnership between academia and business, through which faculty and students interact closely with the business community.  Faculty members are renowned for their research, generate external research funding, play leadership roles in top journals and conferences, and are also outstanding teachers, (please see http://www.ou.edu/content/price/mis/mis_latestresearchhighlights.html) The division has an active MIS Student Association, provides sizable scholarships annually, and enjoys strong support from the university and college administration.



With a new graduate education center in Oklahoma City, Price College is growing its healthcare programs, online courses, executive education, and study abroad activities. There are many opportunities for participation and professional development through these new programs. The University of Oklahoma is classified as a Very High Research University by the Carnegie Foundation, ranked first in the nation among public universities in National Merit Scholars enrolled, and is home to many top-ranked academic and athletic programs. Norman, Oklahoma, has a vibrant art and cultural community, is very affordable, has a friendly and welcoming environment, good schools, and is located close to major cities, namely Oklahoma City, and Dallas. The campus is beautifully landscaped and is one of the most wired in the nation.

Qualifications for the position include a PhD. in MIS or related fields, background in healthcare research and teaching.  A successful candidate is expected to engage and play a leadership role in the growth and activities of the division and college.   Salary and tenure will depend upon qualifications.
