at University of Innsbruck (Application deadline: March 16, 2019)

 

The University of Innsbruck invites applications for a post-doc career
position (tenure-track; full-time, i.e. 40 hours/week) at the Department of
Information Systems, Production and Logistics Management in the area of
Information Systems / Digital Business. The proposed starting date is
01.05.2019 for 6 years, a qualification agreement (tenure-track) can be
offered.

 

The Department of Information Systems, Production and Logistics Management
is a highly motivated, engaged and innovative group of scholars who actively
participate in the research community and publishes in all journals of the
AIS Senior Scholars? basket. Our research is coordinated in the research
center ?Information Systems for Connected Work and Life? as well as the new
research center ?Digital Science?. The Department is housed in an
attractive, modern building located next to the Imperial Palace in the
center of Innsbruck. Founded in 1669, the University of Innsbruck today has
more than 27,000 students and is consistently ranked among the top 300
Universities of the world (QS World University, Shanghai and Times Higher
Education Ranking).

 

Main tasks:

* Independent research in the field of Information Systems / Digital
Business as well as contributions to research projects of the Department of
Information Systems, Production and Logistics Management

* Research should be conducted with the aim to develop information systems
theories and design recommendations using quantitative research methods in
areas such as Business Analytics or Digital Markets

* Teaching and mentoring of students enrolled in Bachelor, Diploma and
Master programs of the Faculty of Business and Management

* Supervision of Bachelor, Diploma and Master theses

* Contributions to the administration of the department

 

Necessary Qualification:

* Completed PhD/doctoral degree in Information Systems, Business, Economics,
Computer Science or equivalent

* Experience in using quantitative research methods

* Experience in independent, high-quality and research-led teaching of
Information Systems courses;

* Ability to teach in English

* Ability to teach in German (within four years after recruitment for
non-native German speakers expected)

* Experience in the application for third-party funding

* Experience in academic mobility

* International academic network in the discipline

* Collaboration skills; excellent interdisciplinary communication skills

* Ability to facilitate dialogue and cooperation between science and
professional practice

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this
position amounts to ? 3.711,10 per month (14 times). Furthermore, the
