COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY-PUEBLO invites applications for the position of: 
Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems

POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Computer Information Systems faculty is part of CSU-Pueblo, Hasan School of Business. The school offers a BS in Computer Information Systems, a BSBA in Management with an IT emphasis and a joint BS· CIS/MBA 3 plus 2 program. The CIS program is supported by six full- time faculty members. Program details are available at:

The mission of the Hasan School of Business at Colorado State University-Pueblo is "We transform students, innovate in teaching, conduct ourselves with professionalism, and engage with and positively impact our stakeholders." 

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accredits the Hasan School of Business. New tenure-track faculty members are assigned nine-hour teaching loads and are expected to engage in on-going scholarly activities. The School enrolls over 600 students in its undergraduate programs (with the largest major in business management) and about 100 students in its MBA program. The MBA program is designed to meet the educational needs of working professionals in southeastern Colorado. The School is housed in a modern building and includes 24 full-time tenure/tenure track faculty members. 

This is a temporary, nine-month position (with summer teaching usually available). The visiting professor will have defined responsibilities in teaching, and service (University, professional and community). Courses to be taught may include one or more of the following: 
•       Cyber Security and Networking
•       Computer languages (C#, Python)

•       Web development (xhtml, xml, Javascript, ASP.NET, PHP) 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
**All responsibilities of faculty members at CSU-Pueblo are in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. The Faculty Handbook is the authoritative guide on specific requirements with regard to teaching assignments, scholarly activity, research, and service.** 
Primary Duties 
•       Teaches undergraduate and graduate (CIS) courses in accordance with program needs, including classes in Colorado Springs/ Castle Rock and online courses, as well. Prepares and presents course materials; administers appropriate tests; evaluates student outcomes; selects texts; prepares, administers and grades assignments; and assigns final grades. Participates in proposing curriculum changes and program modifications. 
•       Participates in service activities that include support of the cybersecurity center, shared governance, research including grant writing activities, professional service and community service. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications 
•       Master in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science/Computer Engineer, or a related discipline

•       Ability to teach two of the three areas: Cyber Security and Networking, Computer languages (C#, Python), Web development (xhtml, xml, Javascript, ASP.NET, PHP) 
•       Successful Post-secondary teaching experience in the information systems field 

Preferred Qualifications 
•       Doctorate or ABD in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science/ Computer Engineer, or a related discipline

•       Ability or interest to teach Data Analytics (Database, SQL, Tableau) and Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Technical work experience in the information technology field
•       Two years significant IT work experience

•       Experience with and commitment to working with diverse student populations and commitment to equity in education at all levels
