The Department of Supply Chain and Business Technology Management<https://www.concordia.ca/jmsb/about/departments/supply-chain-business-technology-management.html>  at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business is seeking, subject to budgetary approval, qualified applicants for two tenure- track positions at the Assistant Professor level starting August 1, 2020. Qualifications are a PhD (either completed or ABD, expecting to complete within a year), a strong orientation to academic research and evidence of excellent teaching ability.

Commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates will be assessed on their demonstrated potential to attract diverse students and collaborators to Concordia University, conduct internationally-recognized research, secure research funds, as well as teach and drive curricular development within their respective areas, especially that the department is in the process of creating a new inter-disciplinary major in Business Intelligence and is reviewing graduate curriculum.

Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching courses at the undergraduate, MBA, MSc, and/or PhD levels. Applicants will be expected to serve on committees, teach up to four courses in an academic year, and be active in research.

Qualifications

The candidate is expected to teach in such subjects as database management, information systems design and implementation, information technology strategy, enterprise resources planning, and business application development. Knowledge of artificial intelligence and business analytics is an asset.

The selected candidate will be doing research in the areas of business information technology/systems management, digital innovation, development, artificial intelligence, smart cities, internet of things, and/or analytics.

Proficiency with the use of software such as SAP, MSProject, SAS, Python, dot-net, google analytics, tools for systems analysis and design and data visualization is desirable and considered as an asset.

  3.  a two-page statement of teaching and research philosophy,
  4.  all teaching evaluations for the last five years,
  5.  recent published papers
  6.  three letters of reference submitted by the referees directly to the Chair of the department provided below
  7.  a five-page description of the planned research program highlighting innovation and
  8.  a one-page summary of the most significant research contributions to date.
