Dr. Tony Hall (National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland);
Professor Kevin Burden (The University of Hull, UK);
Associate Professor Matthew Kearney (University of Technology Sydney,
Australia)

This special issue of the International Journal of Mobile and Blended
Learning: Innovation in Mobile Learning will focus on reporting latest
developments in mobile learning. Supplemented by an open call to the mobile
learning and wider educational technology community, the foundational
papers in the special issue will include keynote contributions from the UK,
Australia, Belgium, The Netherlands and Ireland.

Recommended Topics
Topics to be discussed in this special issue include (but are not limited
to) the following:
Innovative mobile learning principles in practice
Case studies emerging from mobile learning research projects
Mobile learning to support computational thinking
Designing innovative mobile education with and for teachers
Mobilising creativity for young people in formal and informal learning
environments
Supporting literacy and digital literacy in schools through innovative
mobile learning
M-learning for special educational needs
Mobile learning in the ‘Third Space’
Evaluating innovative mobile pedagogies
Participatory design of innovative mobile learning

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special
theme issue on Innovation in Mobile Learning on or before 31st January
2020. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by
another publication. INTERESTED AUTHORS SHOULD CONSULT THE JOURNAL’S
GUIDELINES FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS at

All submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis.
Papers must follow APA style for reference citations.
