 *Instructor in Residence of Management Information Systems - Non-Tenure
Track*

Applications are invited for a full-time Instructor in Residence position
to begin August 2023, in Management Information Systems with a heavy focus
on business analytics at Bradley University. This appointment is a
renewable yearly contract subject to performance. The successful candidate
is expected to teach, mentor students, and contribute service to the
university and community. We are a committed, student-centered program
located in Central Illinois that prioritizes accessible undergraduate
business education, effective teaching pedagogy, and dedication to an
inclusive learning environment.


*Responsibilities:*We seek applicants with teaching interests closely
related to Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. Primary
teaching responsibilities focusing on business/data analytics, database
management or close related subjects. Commitment to and evidence of
outstanding teaching is required. Faculty are expected to collaborate with
colleagues in the department and across campus on research and strategic
initiatives.

*Required Qualifications:*
Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:

1. A master’s degree from an AACSB-accredited school with a primary area of
study in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science,
Information Systems, Operations Research, Statistics, or a closely related
field, or
2. At least a bachelor’s degree in MIS or a related discipline and at least
five years of experience in a related field, or
3. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in MIS or a related discipline who
are expected to complete a master’s degree in a related field prior to the
start date will also be considered.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Professional or teaching experience with demonstrable technical skills to
implement business analytics solutions with software such as Microsoft
Office, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Professional experience with relational databases and SQL that can be
applied in a teaching environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from different
backgrounds and majors across campus.
