Bios of panelists follow.



Peter Guerra has over 15 years of experience solving challenges using data and AI for commercial and public sector customers. He is currently leading Microsoft’s Data & AI Service Line focused on healthcare, media, communications, and other industry verticals. He has previously led data & AI teams at AWS, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton. His experience in solving client challenges across Health, Retail, Energy, Transportation, Financial, Public Sector and more has led to numerous engagements that create value for clients. He has built and scaled data & AI consulting practices for the last 10 years. His technical expertise ranges from artificial intelligence/machine learning, large-scale distributed data systems, and cyber security. He has written thought pieces with O’Reilly and has had the privilege of speaking at many industry events, including NVIDIA’s GTC Conference, AWS Summit, Blackhat, Hadoop Summit, and Strata+Hadoop.



Elizabeth Kennedy is Professor of Law & Social Responsibility in the Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University Maryland. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her B.A. in Urban Studies from Smith College. Prior to entering academia, Professor Kennedy practiced law with the New York firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, specializing in corporate finance. She also worked as a labor organizer and served as labor and employment counsel to the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy on the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) Committee. Professor Kennedy's research focuses on the intersection of labor rights, sustainability, and the future of work.


Marc d. Paradis is Vice President of Data Strategy at Northwell Health, the largest healthcare system in the New York City area. It is his responsibility to enrich and extend Northwell Health's data assets, predictive algorithms, and digital partnerships in order to empower patients, augment providers, support families and materially improve the health of all the communities Northwell serves. For the last 25 years, Marc has been building and implementing models that drive action and impact, providing measurable value to all stakeholders in the product lifecycle. While leading Optum's Data Science University he taught his unique approach to Product-Centric Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI to more than 2,000 individuals, resulting in hundreds of profitably deployed models. Marc is a sought-after speaker at corporate and academic events and conferences as an acknowledged thought leader in AI, data science, critical thinking, and the scientific method. He has a Master's in Cellular & Molecular Neurobiology from MIT and a Bachelor's in Chemistry from Cornell University.
Kieran Towey is a Managing Director, Data Scientist and Analytics lead at KPMG in Dublin, Ireland. He has over 20 years of experience working as a Data Scientist, delivering data powered solutions to large global and domestic clients. Kieran has a mathematics and statistics academic background and excels in building and growing data, analytics and artificial intelligence capability, including specialist teams and technology solutions. Kieran is a Thought Leader in the field of analytics & AI and has travelled the world, working with clients across all industries and speaking at technology, analytics and AI conferences. Kieran’s particular expertise lies in designing and delivering data powered solutions that maximise the client value from investments in data and analytics technology, with particular domain expertise in Financial Services and Public Services. Kieran has worked on long term foundational research with numerous academic institutions, including MIT and the Alan Turing Institute and has published a number of papers and patents.
