[AISWorld] ICT senior faculty post is still open in one World Bank-funded project

University of Jyväskylä is currently implementing as a partner a World
Bank-funded project entitled Afghanistan Skills Development Project
(P102573; Grant No H352-AF).

This project concerns the creation of a National Institute of Management
and Administration (NIMA) that responds to a government initiative to
establish an intensive education program in management and administration
to train domestic experts in fields such as management, accounting,
procurement, auditing, computers and information technology, English and
secretarial functions. The project duration is July 2009 - June 2011.

We are now looking for a Senior Faculty in Information Technology (10
months of work starting on 1 August 2010 and lasting tilll end of June
2011).

Duties:

Revision and implementation of Curricula for ICT for certificate diploma
program
Preparing teaching materials for ICT at diploma level
Preparing course plans for diploma program in ICT for first and second
academic year

Preparing career development plans for Afghan Faculty
Conducting student satisfaction surveys and monitoring teaching system
Arranging out-of-Country Courses for Afghan Trainee Faculty, including,
(a) selection and agreement of locations and VET institutions for
out-of-country courses, (b) preparation of schedule and logistical
arrangements, (c) selection of participants with matching host institution
and (d) workshop/draft reports on lessons learnt
Preparing a training Programme for student counsellors

Providing input to proposal for examination system

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a Management School of repute
or University or Institution, in Management, Finance and Accounting or
Computers,

Advanced University degree
