I'm a PhD student (Universidad de Zaragoza) with main subject focused on
organizations' *Information Systems **capabilities *and their link with *firm
performance*.
Now I am looking for *data about organizations IS capabilities* (databases,
raw data, would be great. Surveys data with this subject also would fit
some of my needs) in order to better design my empirical work and, ideally,
even to use those data if possible and are useful for my propositions goals.
My master thesis described a literature review about that subject and also
about the relationship between corporate strategy and IS. Almost every
paper I found relating those issues (and with an empirical section), worked
with ad-hoc surveys (generally not available to be used).
The only "databases" I found in my review used InformationWeek500 &
ComputerWorld reports. As far as I know, InformationWeek does not make
agreements with research institutions to share their data any more... and
CW reports do not provide data but results.
Even the fact that many surveys have been used in these kind of papers
(linking IS capabilities and performance), I did not find any kind of
models or guidelines to design surveys to get an organization IS
capabilities sample.
Before beginning to design a survey from scratch (at least, some of its
questions), or just adapting existing ones (and doing so, expecting a worse
roadmap for my research), I would like to drain every chance to find public
databases or surveys raw data. Even if a fee to use them is needed.
Thank you in advance, any kind of help or suggestion is very, very welcome.
