Position and Qualifications

The Department of Management in the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame is pleased to announce a tenure-track position for fall 2013 in the area of Information Technology Management at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates working in all areas of Information Systems are encouraged to apply with special consideration given to candidates with an interest in behavioral IS and health information technology.

Candidates must possess an earned doctorate or the strong prospect of earning a doctorate by fall 2013 in IS or a closely related area. Our ideal candidate is one who has proven publication success and evidence of teaching effectiveness (if available) with an interest in teaching in various areas of IT Management, including some of the following: security, strategy, system analysis and design, software applications and development, and business intelligence.

The starting salary and teaching load will be market competitive. Assistant professors generally receive summer funding for their entire tenure as assistants (and beyond, assuming continued productivity in top-tier journals). Faculty members also receive ample annual research budgets, as well as outstanding computer, administrative, and library support.

Applications will be reviewed immediately but our intention is to hold campus interviews in late 2012 and early 2013.  Interview appointments will be made for selected applicants whose qualifications appear to best meet our requirements and needs. Departmental representatives will conduct interviews during AMCIS (Seattle, WA, August 9-11, 2012), the INFORMS conference (Phoenix, AZ, October 14-17, 2012), DSI conference (San Francisco, CA, November 17-20, 2012), and/or ICIS (Orlando, FL, December 16-19, 2012).
