The submission deadline for the 8th Annual SIGSEC Workshop on Information Security and Privacy (pre-ICIS event) has been extended to October 10th, 2014.

We kindly invite you to submit research articles, position papers, case studies, research-in-progress, or panel discussion proposals that focus on different aspects of information security or privacy. 8th Annual SIGSEC Workshop on Information Security and Privacy
Pre-ICIS, December 13, 2014 at Auckland, New Zealand

Submission Deadline: October 10, 2014

The AIS SIGSEC is pleased to announce its Eighth Annual Workshop on Information Security and Privacy (WISP), to be held pre-ICIS on December 13, 2014 at The University of Auckland Business School, Auckland, New Zealand. This workshop is intended to be a forum for scholars, practitioners, and doctoral students interested in information security and privacy issues to exchange ideas and encourage collaboration.

We invite individuals to submit research articles, position papers, case studies, research-in-progress, or panel discussion proposals that focus on different aspects of information security or privacy. The submitted research can be empirical, theoretical, analytical or design-oriented in nature. We welcome diverse theoretical lenses and research methods. Few topics of interest include (but not limited to):
·      Socio-technical analysis of information security and privacy issues
·      Cultural issues in management of information security and privacy
·      IT risk analysis and management issues
·      Economic analysis of information security and privacy measures
·      Information security technology acceptance and use
·      Legal and regulatory issues concerning information security and privacy violations
·      Analysis of system vulnerabilities and risk exposure
·      Digital forensics, fraud detection
·      Identity management
·      Simulation of information security and risk management
·      Cyber-security skills, information security education
·      Cybercrime, cyber harassment, cyber bullying
·      Ethical issues in information security and privacy

All submitted papers will undergo a double blind peer-review process. All accepted submissions would be published in the workshop proceedings available electronically in the AIS digital library. Feel free to email any inquiries on potential papers for submission to the workshop co-chairs.
