Clinical Assistant Professor of Business Information Systems

The Department of Business Information Systems and Operations Management, one of six departments in the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, invites applications for a full-time position as a Clinical Assistant Professor beginning in the Fall 2015 semester.  The position requires a Research Doctorate in information systems or closely related field.  All degree requirements must be completed by the time of appointment.  The candidate must have a good understanding of the use of information systems in business, as well as the management of supply chain operations and/or data analytics.  Teaching at the Masters level is expected.  The teaching load is an equivalent of four MIS or OM courses per semester.  Prior teaching experience in MIS or OM is preferred.  In addition to teaching, responsibilities for this position include sufficient scholarly research and professional activities to demonstrate currency in the field and service.  This is a non-tenure track position with an initial three-year contract.  Salary is competitive.  Subsequent contracts will depend on performance, departmental needs, and the college's budgetary situation.
