**Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (www.cnam.fr)**invites 
applications for a **Chair Position in **Information Systems Engineering*.

CNAM, based in Paris-France, is a world-class institution seeking to 
recruit a highly qualified senior faculty member for its Information 
Systems Engineering Group. The recruited faculty member will be 
responsible for leading teaching and research activities. This chair 
position is supported by a permanent funding from the French Government. 
The appointment is for a full time permanent position at a full 
professor rank.

Requirements:*

Applicants should be internationally recognized as leaders in the field 
of Information Systems Engineering with excellent track records in 
leading major teaching and research initiatives.

The successful candidates for the position must hold a Ph.D. in Computer 
and Information Systems. They must have a distinguished research and 
publication record, and demonstrated leadership ability in developing 
and expanding teaching and research programs.

International applicants with no French language knowledge should be 
willing to become proficient in French. Additionally, it is expected 
that the candidates comply with the following duties and 
responsibilities in the computer science department :

  * Develop high quality training programs,
  * Contribute to research and scholarship through high quality
    publications,
  * Help guide research efforts in the Information Systems Engineering
    area of expertise,
  * Develop high quality and student-oriented classes,
  * Use and implement top notch studies and materials,
  * Participate in prominent international academic conferences,
  * Participate in Executive Education seminars as needed,
  * Advise and mentor students,
  * Participate actively in campus life and committees,
  * Must demonstrate an ability to quickly learn French.

Moreover, the applicants must propose an original, innovative training 
and research programs of the highest quality.

The Information Systems Engineering Group has a long tradition of 
teaching, industry collaboration and research in its domain of 
expertise. It is composed of 5 professors, 12 associate professors, and 
2 adjunct professors. Our activity also includes research on an 
international level. Our group promotes collaboration with industry and 
seeks to strengthen collaborations with other national or international 
academic and industrial actors.
