As a reminder, Abstracts are due Nov 15 for The 3rd Annual Research Workshop of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals

“Research into Practice”
February 19, 2017 – San Antonio, Texas

The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) will host the third annual Research Workshop at the Outsourcing World Summit (OWS17), on February 19, 2017 at the JW Marriott Hill Country in San Antonio, Texas. Click here<https://www.iaop.org/content/23/154/4482> for more information on the venue and location.

IAOP will partner with ISG again for this third annual event. ISG will provide an industry level and sourcing market perspective on all papers that are selected for the workshop. This feedback is based on ISG's understanding of the market that they've obtained from their 1000+ clients and relationships. The Research Workshop precedes the annual three-day Outsourcing Summit that regularly attracts approximately 1000 global outsourcing industry participants. The OWS17 event is described here<https://www.iaop.org/Content/23/154/1099/Default.aspx>:

This one-day workshop is an opportunity for academic and industry researchers to present and discuss full research based papers as well as research-in-progress. The intention of the workshop is to allow leading researchers to interact with and receive feedback from global practitioners, including outsourcing buyers, providers and advisors. A limited number of papers will be accepted for discussion at the workshop. IAOP will provide complimentary conference registration* for both the Workshop and OWS17 for the presenting authors, a value of $2,875.00 (Pass only; the attendee is responsible for all travel expenses). The winning paper will be selected for co-presentation with the Workshop sponsor, ISG at OWS17.

Papers will be reviewed through a blind peer review and comments will be provided to the authors to consider prior to the workshop.

With an emphasis on practice oriented research, themes that will be considered include the following:

  * Case studies from organizations that have achieved success in their outsourcing relationships
  * Effective governance of the outsourcing relationship
  *   Innovation through outsourcing
  *   Key trends in:
