Hi all,
The number of submissions to JGITM has increased substantially - about 3-4
times the 2014 level. We receive over 100 manuscripts every year.
However, many of them are desk rejected because they lack a global
dimension. The JGITM mission states:
*“Besides quality work, at a minimum each submitted article should have the
following three components: an IS (Information Systems) topic, an
international orientation (e.g., cross cultural studies or strong
international implications), and original research along with evidence
(e.g., survey data, case studies, secondary data, etc.).”*
I am making a special request to you. Please send quality manuscripts
for *JGITM
*which directly address global and international issues in Information
Systems. Typical among such papers include: cross-cultural studies, unique
aspects of different countries or regions, or studies which have strong
international implications. A single country study without any
international perspectives will be desk rejected. Also, our journal
requires strong evidence for the findings; pure conceptual papers (unless
they are ground-breaking) are rejected.
Thanks,
