Dear Researchers Around the World:

JITCAR is now indexed with SCOPUS besides several other indexes. I have been receiving many submissions. But several researchers are not aware of the Mission and Scope of the journal. Several submissions are not on IT theme or do not use Case Research Methodology.

· Theme of any article must be related to Information Technology (Please read below several examples)

· Article must use some form of Case Research Methodology (several possibilities exist)

· Articles based on just broad brush survey will not be reviewed

· Only for special JITCAR issues, we waive the requirement of Case Research Methodology

· Please refer to Yin's several editions of books to grasp - what constitutes a Case research methodology?

· We also publish Teaching Case Articles - which must include a Research Note and a Teaching Note

Aims and scope
The Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research (JITCAR) publishes case-based research on the application of information technology and information systems to the solution of organizational problems. Research articles may focus on public, private, or governmental organizations of any size, from start-up through multinational. The research can focus on any type of application, issue, problem or technology, including, for example, artificial intelligence, business process reengineering, cross-cultural issues, cybernetics, decision support systems, electronic commerce, enterprise systems, groupware, the human side of IT, information architecture, joint application development, knowledge based systems, local area networks, management information systems, office automation, outsourcing, prototyping, robotics, security, social networking, software as a service, supply chain management, systems analysis, telemedicine, ubiquitous computing, video-conferencing, and Web 2.0.
