*Scope*: Responsible for assisting with the direction of a two-year funded
research “Human-in-the-Loop XAI-enabled Vulnerability Detection,
Investigation, and Mitigation” with Dr. Raymond Choo (UTSA) and Dr. Tien
Nguyen (University of Texas at Dallas – UTD), which includes the
evaluation, design, implementation, and performance evaluation of new or
improved techniques and procedures, and other related tasks.
While the applicant is employed by UTSA, the applicant can be physically
located / hosted at UTSA or UTD. The successful candidate can start ASAP,
although accommodations will be made on a case-by-case basis if a later
employment date is required. In addition, temporary remote working
arrangements can be negotiated if required.
*Salary Range*: $50,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience
and qualifications.
*Required Qualifications*
· Ph.D. in computer science / engineering (AI, cyber security).
· U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident admitted to the U.S. for
permanent residence.
· The applicant should ideally have the following skills: AI and
security (vulnerability detection in systems and/or source code).
*Preferred Qualifications*
· System, network, or device forensics.
