We welcome full and research-in-progress paper submissions.
Over the past 15 years, health practitioners have made increasing use of
Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) to aid much critical health-based
decision making to improve patient care. However, those who wish to gain
from a CDSS must be concerned about what is involved in designing and
developing the system in their institutions. Although much has been written
about these phenomena in diverse DSS areas, a CDSS still requires proper
planning based on what must be done to avert marginal development of the
system. In addition, given the nature of CDSS development, findings
acquired from previous studies are just likely only to offer a limited
illustration of the problems affecting CDSS development in practice. The
requirement to look upon this CDSS design, development, and implementation
activities are crucial as the world deals with COVID19. Health decisions
would need to be made quickly, not just for proper COVID19 activities but
also to save lives.
Examples of topics that would be appropriate for the mini track include the
following (but not limited to):
CDSS and the management of COVID19 such as contact tracing, quarantining
and vaccinations
Artificial intelligence and CDSS
CDSS and digital divide
CDSS, Industrial Revolution & Society 5.0
CDSS development and implementation
CDSS evaluation and impact, e.g., evaluation metrics and processes
CDSS foundation and principles
Multicriteria CDSS
Data warehousing and big data analytics
Coordination of a CDSS's interface with its functionality
CDSS research methods
CDSS modelling & simulations
CDSS interfaces, e.g., methods, tools, and techniques for designing and
developing DSS
CDSS in public enterprises
CDSS in Endocrine and Breast Cancer
CDSS in emergencies
CDSS in developing countries
CDSS and other technologies such as GIS, RFID, thermal imaging, and other
real-time technologies
Web-based and mobile CDSS, and relevant applications in areas other than
those mentioned above.
