Few users intentionally cause cybersecurity problems; they’re just trying
to get their work done, but they are faced with an ever growing array of
cyber security demands. In this episode of Cyber Ways, we discuss how users
adapt to these demands with our guests, Clay Posey of Brigham Young
University, and Tom Roberts of the University of Texas at Tyler. We discuss
their 2021 Information Systems Frontiers paper, “Insiders’ adaptations to
security-based demands in the workplace: An examination of security
behavioral complexity,” which was co-authored with A.J. Burns of Louisiana
State University. Dr. Burns was the lead author on the paper.
