The School of Administrative Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, York University invites highly qualified candidates to apply for a professorial stream tenure-track appointment in Management Information Systems at the Assistant level, to commence July 1, 2023.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
A completed PhD (at the time of application or by July 1, 2023) in Management Information Systems or a related discipline is required, with a demonstrated record of excellence or promise of excellence in research and in teaching. A clearly articulated program of research in one or more of the following areas is an asset: digital transformation, cybersecurity, and financial technology (fintech).

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence or promise of research excellence of a recognized international calibre as demonstrated in: the research statement, a record of publications (or forthcoming publications) with significant journals in the field, presentations at major conferences; awards and accolades; and strong recommendations from referees of high standing.
We seek to appoint an outstanding researcher as part of the university's strategic commitment to accelerate York's progress toward being recognized nationally and internationally as a top comprehensive, research-intensive university. The Dean is able to offer enhanced research support for the first three years of this appointment.

Evidence of excellence or promise of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated by a statement of teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations, teaching accomplishments and pedagogical innovations in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning, and strong letters of reference.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in outstanding, innovative, and externally funded research at the highest level. The position will involve teaching, program development, and supervision in undergraduate and possibly graduate programs. Duties would also include contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives at the School of Administrative Studies. The successful candidate must be suitable for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and have the ability to enhance the reputation of the School of Administrative Studies.
