We, the Finnish Hub For Digitalization team, are excited to invite you to an FHDi Talk: Digital Resilience and Technology Shocks: Conceptualization, Measurement, and Configurational Perspective” with expert speaker Dr. Jason Bennett Thatcher. This online event is held on 7th June 2023, 4 PM-5 PM (Helsinki Time).
 
Dr. Jason Thatcher’s presentation will focus on the timely topic of digital resilience. Digital resilience refers to the ability of users to shield against and recover from adversity in the IT work environment, conceptualized as shielding and recovery. The presentation reports three studies with different methods that build an understanding of digital resilience and discusses how to create resilient sociotechnical systems. 
 
The presentation is open to all academics who are interested in information systems and understanding digital resilience. This event is free of charge. We welcome you to join us and engage in a thought-provoking discussion!
 
Our expert speaker, Dr. Jason Bennett Thatcher, holds the Milton F. Stauffer Professorship in the Department of Management Information Systems at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He has also held visiting faculty positions at the Technical University of Munich, Information Technology University-Copenhagen, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
