[AISWorld] Assistant Professor in MIS Opening at CSU San Marcos

The Department of Management information Systems (MIS) at the College of Business Administration, CSU San Marcos, invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in MIS that starts Fall 2024. The College of Business Administration (COBA)  utilizes a teacher-scholar model that balances research and teaching, creating an environment where faculty can have a meaningful impact on student success across an academic career.



As an Assistant Professor in our MIS department, you will have the opportunity to develop and teach MIS courses in COBA's undergraduate and graduate programs. Our MIS faculty conduct research in a variety of areas including IT and Organizations, IT strategy, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity. Collaboration with industry partners and cross-disciplinary academic research is highly encouraged to advance the department's mission. Interaction with the MIS community also takes place through MIS professional organizations in the region.



Applicants must possess a doctorate in Information Systems or related field with specialization in Information System, from an AACSB accredited university, at the time of appointment for this position. All areas of MIS will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability and desire to teach and conduct research in Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and/or cybersecurity and risk management.
