What You Will Do
The UC Business School / University of Canterbury invites applications for a continuing (permanent) position at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Information Systems. Persons with experience across a range of Information Systems areas are encouraged to apply. You will:


  *   Teach Information Systems courses
  *   Conduct scholarly impactful research
  *   Engage in service related activities

The role involves actively contributing to the teaching and research profile of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems through the pursuit of a programme of impactful research, high quality teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, curriculum development, postgraduate research supervision, engaging with external stakeholders, and contributing to departmental and university service.

Who You Are
You have an academic background and a PhD in Information Systems/Information Management with an aim to build an international scholarly reputation in Information Systems while making an impact on the local community. All candidates must:

  *   show evidence of outstanding teaching ability in the IS discipline
  *   show commitment to quality teaching delivery at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
  *   demonstrate high-level written and oral communication skills
and be able and willing to contribute to Department, wider University, and professional service activities.

Successful candidates for the position of Lecturer must show potential to publish in high-quality, internationally recognised academic journals.  Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer will have a proven record of publications in high-quality, internationally recognised academic journals (e.g. ABDC A/A*; Scimago Q1/Q2). Candidates are also expected to provide evidence of academic leadership and successful supervision of masters or doctoral students.

The following salary scales apply from 2024: Lecturer $89,645 to $108,644; Senior Lecturer $113,826.

This role will close upon successful appointment.
