Calling doctoral students!

*HICSS and the AIS invited doctoral students (irrespective of stage in the
program) to apply to become a HICSS Doctoral Fellow and participate in the
HICSS Doctoral Consortium (Management Information Systems Area).*

*Event Details:*

   - *Date:* January 6, 2025 (the day before the main conference)
   - *Location:* HICSS Conference, Big Island
   - *Research Area:* Management Information Systems
   - *Extended Deadline for Application:* July 22, 2024, 11:59 pm Hawaiian
   Time

*Benefits:*

   - *Free Consortium:* Participation in the Doctoral Consortium is free,
but all participants must register for the HICSS conference.
   - *Publication Support:* Develop one paper toward journal publication.
   - *Research Opportunities:* Open doors for new research partnerships.
   - *Networking:* Engage with fellow scholars, mentors, and experts in the
   field.
   - *Community Building:* Build lifelong relationships and become leaders
within the HICSS community and academia.

*About HICSS:* HICSS is the longest-running technology conference,
celebrating its 58th year in 2025. Approximately 95% of HICSS attendees are
authors of accepted conference papers. The event fosters new research
projects through discussions, coffee breaks, and social events.

*Application Instructions:* Students should submit a summary (5 pages,
inclusive of all items, according to HICSS Final Specifications) of a
completed research project or one in progress. The summary should begin
with the research question and its significance. Key elements to include,
where applicable, are theory, methods, and results. Note that a common
reason for rejection at top journals is an uninteresting research question.
