HICSS-58 is currently accepting applications for the Junior Faculty Consortium<https://hicss.hawaii.edu/junior-faculty-consortium/>.
The HICSS Junior Faculty Consortium (JFC) is designed to cultivate a nurturing environment that encourages the growth and development of junior faculty in the fields of computer science, information systems, and technology management. Its overarching goal is to build a supportive community where emerging scholars can network, develop leadership skills, and gain insights into balancing academic responsibilities. The JFC plays a pivotal role in preparing junior faculty to navigate the complexities of academia, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary research, innovation, and societal impact.
The JFC targets junior faculty members who are in the early stages of their academic careers in related disciplines. It seeks to attract individuals who are not only passionate about their research but are also looking to develop their teaching skills, expand their professional networks, and explore leadership opportunities within the academic community.
The Consortium will be held on the day before the main conference on January 6, 2025. The Consortium is free, but all participants must register for the HICSS conference. Applicants should submit the most up-to-date version of their CV and a cover letter. The cover letter should outline their current research interests and include a one-paragraph summary of their research project with information on their research approach.
Please consider applying by August 31st, and we look forward to seeing you!
