[IRIS] A PhD position announcement on digitalization and accountability

Dear IRIS community,

We have a job opening for a PhD position at the Department of Information technologies and systems, Mid Sweden University. The PhD position is a cooperation in between the Center for economic relations (CER) and the Forum for digitalization (FODI) and there will be a reference group with professionals from DIGG/Agency for Digital Government and SKR/SALAR/Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions.

Job description
The PhD position is a full time position aimed at working in the multidisciplinary VIS-research group (Value realization and information systems) focusing on value realization and especially mechanisms of accountability in public sector contexts. If digitalization initiatives fail, when and how are the failures analysed and highlighted and what are the formal and informal mechanisms that could enter the scene in order for enhanced learning. The VIS-research group has projects devoted to decisions analysis, critical studies of information systems, policy analysis and philosophy of technology.

Requirements

  *   A master degree or 240 ECTS with more than 60 ECTS on advanced level
  *   Experience and documented skills in a Scandinavian language
  *   It is an advantage with a positioning in critical analysis or critical studies
