  *
Influence key decisions related to the IRIS/SCIS conferences and the Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems (SJIS).
  *
Gain valuable experience in academic governance and community service.
  *
Build a Nordic network of IS peers.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  *
Participate in eight IRIS board meetings (four virtual, four in-person).
  *
Manage communications for the Association (e.g., social media, website, SJIS board, AIS representatives).
  *
Be a current PhD student at a Finnish higher education institution.
  *
Have the support of your PhD supervisor.
  *
Be available for a two-year appointment. Be in your first or second year of PhD studies to ensure eligibility throughout the full term.

The new PhD board member will be elected at the IRIS Business Meeting during the IRIS49 conference in Iceland (August 2026). All IRIS members present at the conference are eligible to vote.
