The College of Information Science and Technology (IS&T) is an 
interdisciplinary college focusing on meeting the needs of a vibrant 
metropolitan area.  The School of Interdisciplinary Informatics (Si2), a 
unit within the College of IS&T, focuses on expanding the role of 
information technology in cybersecurity, healthcare, business, the arts, 
government and other disciplines through state-of-the-art education, 
research and outreach.    The school invites applications for a 
tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a primary 
interest in Information Assurance (IA).  Particular attention will be paid 
to applicants who have an interest in the application of security concepts 
within the health sector.  Candidates must possess an appropriate 
doctorate or all but the dissertation (ABD) in Computer Science, 
Management Information Systems or a related field with a specialization in 
IA (or related areas) from a nationally recognized program. The college is 
seeking strong candidates with research and teaching interests in IA and 
who also have the ability to teach computer science and/or management 
information system courses when needed.   Candidates with focused research 
in digital forensics, vulnerability discovery, and/or healthcare 
information privacy and security are especially encouraged to apply. 
Contributions to service within the university, business or professional 
areas are expected. 

The College of IS&T is responsible for a Bachelor of Science Program in 
Information Assurance, a Bachelor of Science in IT Innovation, two ABET 
accredited Bachelor of Science programs in Computer Science and Management 
Information Systems, and two Master of Science degrees in Management 
Information Systems and Computer Science. Both the graduate programs offer 
graduate certificates in IA.   The college hosts an innovative 
college-wide interdisciplinary PhD in Information Technology degree. The 
college is also host to the Nebraska University Center on Information 
Assurance (NUCIA; http://nucia.ist.unomaha.edu/), a NSA designated Center 
for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE), which 
combines the efforts of commercial, governmental and educational 
institutions across the United States to increase awareness in the 
numerous domains of information security. Individuals who desire to

in the College of IS&T are encouraged to apply.

are partners in The Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, 
Technology and Engineering. The Institute has been funded by a $70 million
