Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for a full-time, continuing, tenure-eligible faculty position in Information Systems beginning August 2018, with research and teaching specialization in Internet Programming, Information Systems Project Management, Systems Analysis/Design, Business Analytics, or Application Development.  A commitment to top-quality research, teaching, and service is required.  The Department of CMIS provides instruction within the School of Business in the Bachelor of Science in CMIS program, Master of Science in CMIS (MS CMIS), Business Analytics & Project Management Specializations in the MS CMIS, MIS major in Business Administration (BSBA) program, and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The curriculum includes a full range of computing courses and is supported by state-of-the-art computer software & hardware technology.

SIUE's park-like campus is located within the greater St. Louis, MO metropolitan area (just 20 miles from downtown St. Louis) and covers 2,700 acres of rolling hills, woods, and small lakes. The large number of corporate headquarters located in St. Louis enables faculty members to work closely with practitioners on joint ventures.

The ideal candidate for this position will embrace the Teacher-Scholar model, be student-centered, demonstrate a commitment to promoting experiential learning, and incorporate online and blended education models. SIUE is dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and as such, candidates must be prepared to pursue a well-defined stream of research leading to the publication of high quality, peer-reviewed journal articles. The ability to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, guide students in scholarly activities, and pursue externally funded research is a plus.
