The University of Oklahoma (OU),  seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Cybersecurity, starting in the Fall of 2019, in the MIS Division, Price College of Business.  The strong programs in the MIS division build on a solid history of excellence, distinguished faculty members, and an active industry partnership.  The division offers an undergraduate major and minor in MIS, graduate programs in the Management of Information Technology (MIT) with emphasis in Business Analytics, and a PhD degree.  It operates the Center for MIS Studies (CMISS), an industry-academic partnership, through which faculty and business partners collaborate on research and curriculum development. The division has an active MIS Student Association (MISSA), provides sizable student scholarships annually, and enjoys strong support from the university and college administration.  Faculty members are world-renowned, engaged in thriving research programs, generate external research funding, play leadership roles in top journals and conferences, and are outstanding teachers. Significant opportunities exist for professional growth and recognition as a member of OU's Michael F. Price College of Business--named after one of its distinguished alumni in 1997--whose various programs are internationally recognized.

Candidates must have an earned PhD in MIS or related disciplines, or ABD with dissertation defended by August 31, 2019.  Desirable qualifications include evidence of excellent research and teaching with specific interest in, experience with, or research publications in cybersecurity. Additionally, the college has strategic areas of emphasis in healthcare and energy management.  Preference will be given to applicants with a productive research record whose research and teaching capabilities align well with the MIS division's various areas of research and teaching.
