Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As a wonderful AMCIS 2019 has come to a close, we are already excited about
AMCIS 2020, to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA from August 12 - 16,
2020. A sincere thank you to those of you who were able to attend our
AMCIS meeting for future track/minitrack chairs (ppt attached) and to those
who have already submitted track proposals for AMCIS 2020. For those who
have not yet submitted, this is a final reminder that the deadline for
track proposals is Friday, August 23. Please submit your track proposal by
completing the attached form and emailing it to amcis2020.program at gmail.com
before the deadline. As you develop your track proposal, please keep the
following guidelines in mind:

   -

   # of Track Chairs: Each track should have 1 to 5 track chairs. An
individual can chair at most one track, and at most one mini-track. The
preferred number of co-chairs per track is 2-3 co-chairs. One of the
co-chairs should be designated as the primary contact person.
   -

   # of Mini-track Chairs: Each mini-track should have 1 to 5 mini-track
chairs. An individual can chair at most two mini-tracks. The preferred
   number of co-chairs per mini-track is 2-3 co-chairs.
   -

   # of Mini-tracks within a Track: Each track must have at least 2
   mini-tracks.
   -

Roles: Individuals should hold only one role within a track. A person
should not be both a track chair and mini-track chair within the same track.

In addition, please make sure that anyone who is proposed as a track chair
is aware of and willing to assume the following responsibilities:

   1.

Liaise with the program chairs on all matters that concern AMCIS 2020.
   2.

Promote the track and take sufficient measures to ensure an adequate
   number of mini-tracks and submissions.
   3.

Work with mini-track chairs to manage the review cycle for the papers
   submitted to your track.
   4.

Recommend to the program co-chairs those papers that may eventually be
accepted for inclusion into the conference program.
   5.

Nominate papers for the Best Paper Award.
   6.

Personally (at least one of the track co-chairs) attend AMCIS 2020 and
serve as session chair in at least one of the proposed track session(s).
   7.

Abstain from submitting to your own track. (A general topics track will
be available where track chairs can submit their own work.)

We will review track proposals, suggest changes, and invite feedback from
the group to foster two-way communication. Final track approvals will be
made on August 30.

Best Regards,

Sue Brown, Kathy Chudoba, and Kelly Fadel (SKK)
